If you want to make an account on Fiverr from a computer connected to the service's official website, click on the Join item at the top right and select whether to register using your Facebook account, Google account, or email. In the first two cases, click Continue as [name] or Continue with Google; otherwise, enter your email address in the Enter your email form and click the Continue button. In the Choose a username and Choose a password areas on the new screen, enter the username and password to be connected with your account (must have at least 8 characters, including a capital letter, a lowercase letter, and a number) and hit the Join button. If you want to buy a service on Fiverr (called a Gig), all you have to do is go to the platform's home page, log in to your account, find the service you want, and finish the transaction.

To begin, go to the Fiverr home page and, if you haven't already, click the Sign in button at the top right to enter your account. Select the category of the service you require in the new page that appears, choosing one of the available options among Graphics & Design, Digital Marketing, Writing & Translation, Video & Animation, Music & Audio, Programming & Tech, Business, and Fun & Lifestyle, then choose a sub-category from those displayed on the screen and identify the Gig that you believe best suits your needs. Alternatively, enter terms relating to the service of interest in the Find service search form (found at the top left) and click the Search button. To better understand, consider the following scenario: if you have an Italian text that has to be translated into English, go to the Writing & Translation category and select the Translation sub-category in the left sidebar. Connect to the Fiver website from your computer, click on the Sign item at the top right, and access your account by entering your login credentials in the Email / Username and Password areas to become a seller. Now, select the Become a seller option and, on the new open page, press the Become a seller button, then input your name and surname in the First name and Last name sections, then click the camera icon next to the item Profile Picture to upload your photo (mandatory operation to proceed with registration as a seller).

 

Then, in the Description area, type at least 150 characters describing your hobbies, abilities, and anything else you think would persuade potential customers to work with you. Finally, under the Languages area, specify which languages you speak (by clicking the Add new button) and then click the Continue button to proceed with the registration.

 

In the Professional info page, specify the category of your expertise by selecting one of the available options from the drop-down menu next to Your Occupation (Graphic & Design, Video & Animation, Writing & Translation, Digital marketing, etc.). You may also add several profession categories by clicking on the Add new item button and selecting one of the alternatives listed above. You may define your skills in the Add Skill area in the Skills section by additionally inputting the level using the Level experience drop-down menu.

 

If you choose, you may enter further information about your training and credentials in the Education and Certification boxes, following which you can input your own website or the website of a prior work in the Personal Website field and hit the Continue button to proceed.

If you like, you may join your social accounts on the Linked Accounts screen by hitting the Connect button next to the Linkedin, Google, and Facebook items; alternatively, press the Continue and Continue & Create Your First Gig buttons to finish the seller registration process.

 

CREATE A GIG ON FIVERR

 

Press the Create a Gig button to begin creating your first Gig, which is the digital service you want to sell on Fiverr. If you don't see this option, click on your photo at the upper right, then pick My Profile from the menu that opens, and then click the Create a new Gig button on the new page that displays.

 

 

Now, in the Gig title field (maximum 80 characters), enter the title of your ad, select the category via the drop-down menu next to the Category item by selecting one of the available options (Graphics & Design, Digital marketing, Video & Animation, Music & Audio, etc.), select a sub-category, and specify the service you offer. For example, if you wish to provide your WordPress knowledge, you must choose the Programming & Tech category, the WordPress sub-category, and the Help / Consultation item as a service offered (Service type).

 

Then, in the Search tags section, insert up to 5 key terms and click the Save & proceed button. You can build up to three purchase packages for your Gig under the Scope & Pricing tab, selecting the delivery timings, price, questions open to the buyer, minutes of real-time support chat, and services supplied. In the Description part, explain your Gig by putting at least 120 characters in the relevant space, while in the Frequently Asked Questions section, you may include FAQs that the buyer may find beneficial.

 

Enter the information you will need and that the buyer will have to provide to start your work in the Requirements screen, then press the Save & Continue button, upload at least an image, a video, or a PDF file of your previous work, or sponsor your offer in the best way possible, and press the Save & Continue button again.

 

You must enter and verify your phone number in order to publish your offer. Pigging, then click the Verify Now button, input your phone number in the Enter your Phone Number area, then click the Verify SMS button to receive a confirmation SMS, or Verify by Call button to receive a phone call. Then, in the relevant area, enter the verification code you got and hit the Submit code button. Now, simply click the Publish Gig button to publish your offer, and you're done.

 

To manage your Gig, click on your photo in the upper right corner, then My profile from the menu that opens, and then Gig from the main menu. In the newly opened page, click the down arrow symbol next to the Gig of your choice and select one of the available options: Changes can be made by editing; Share to spread the word about the deal; Delete to remove the selected Gig, or Pause to temporarily hide your offer.

 

Instead, click on the Order item and choose the job you wish to do: after an order has been accepted, a countdown will show based on the delivery period you specified when establishing the Gig. When the job is finished, go to the Orders area, choose the completed order, click the Deliver your order, Upload Work, and Deliver work buttons, and wait for the buyer's response.

 

It is important to understand that Fiverr charges a 20% commission on each Gig sold and that payment is made 14 days after the order is delivered. To keep track of your submissions and redeem your profits, click on your photo, then My profile, and then the Earnings option in the main menu.
